Gabriel Anthony Ramos

Born 9/1/1933 in Lincoln, CA

Departed peacefully 12/14/2019, San Jose CA at the age of 86

One of Eight Brothers and Sisters, Gabe is survived by one brother and two sisters, Luis, Rosie and Cathy.

Gabe made many lifelong friends as he worked in the beverage industry for establishments such as Almaden Winery, The Ferrari Brothers, Joseph George Distributors while also bartending at the famous “George’s” and “The Red Stag”. Gabe also worked for the County Transit, driving a bus and eventually retired from the US Postal Service in 1996.

Gabe had a love for cars, golf and fishing and in his later years loved watching golf, tennis and old westerns. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Gabe will be remembered most for his compassion, wisdom and sense of humor.

Survived by his wife of 63 years, Doreen and four children. Debbie Mantoan, Dianna (Johnny) Ramos-Williams Flannery, Tim Ramos and Kathleen (Jim) Vela. Gabe cherished his Grandchildren, Michael Mantoan, Kimberly (Anthony) Hayes, Michael Williams, Alyssa Vela and JJ Flannery as well as his Great-Grandchildren, Holden, Isalena, Kali, Mila and Agustus
