My Dearest Nino,

Words cannot describe how empty and heartbroken I am knowing that you are gone and aren't coming back. Even though now is meant to mourn and express sadness, I've try hard every day to smile and laugh during this time of adversity, just like you would have. I told myself that if I could have a fraction of the positive attitude and resiliency you portrayed in life, I would living the happiest l could be.  I would give anything to hear your laugh one more time, to see you pull a prank one more time and to play you in HORSE one more time. Thank you for being my second father, for being present for every milestone I accomplished and being (and continuing) to be such a strong presence in our family.

Happy Birthday in Heaven 🌤️ Cuz! I will always have fond memories of your smile and sense of humor. As kids my Mother Leonora Diaz was very close to Auntie Chong her cousin. We used to come over to your house in San Diego. I remember playing tennis with you when you needed a practice partner. I also remember the VW Bug  you used to pick me up for school. Thank you for your endless jokes and laughter . You showed us how to live, love and to keep a hairdo like yours without changing it ! It breaks my heart knowing that you are not here anymore with us physically . I cherish every moment we had all together with the family . You truly are a ONE OF A KIND . Thank you for being at my graduation and events for Arianney . I’m sad that santino will not be able to create memorable memories with his Pelos Parado Tio . I never thought I'd have to say good-bye to you so soon, but God must have needed you. You may be gone, but never forgotten. Your memory will live on with me until the day I die. We were all truly blessed when God put you in our path. Thank you for loving me, Steve, Merisa, Breanna, Ari and Santino. I will always cherish all the great times we shared as a family. Words cannot express how heartbroken I've since I found out you left us. You were a huge piece to this family's puzzle that will never be complete. I pray every night hoping this is a bad dream and it will all go away but reality hits and the heatbreak is real. I'll never have another brother like you. You were it, you were the best any family could have been blessed to have and we were the lucky ones. God chose us to send you to, we were the lucky ones. He also chose when your time was up. I know he wouldn't have unless he really needed you and for that I can't complain or be angry. Rest peacefully knowing Raj, Michael and I will be there to take care of Rosie, Felicia and baby Gene.
