Esmee,  a beautiful Mother to Little Dan. You are now his Mommy Angel guiding him and holding his hand throughout his life.

Esmee was the soul who did an excellent job performing her role as a person, a daughter, a sister, a wife and above all as a mother. Inspite of her diagnosis and prognosis, her mind and thoughts were always moving forward and focused on what could be done. She respected people even though she was disrespected.  She was a beautiful soul. I came to know her passing just today, August 7, 2022. I was watching video of near death experience while her name flashed before my mind and so I searched for her name.
I am positive that your family was also appreciative of your presence while you were on earth. It was a life well spent. 
 It was a pleasure knowing you Esmee.  

And with a raised fist and a smile, you said to me “Aja!” Our battlecry since you were first diagnosed. That’s my very vivid memory of our last interaction. And that’s how I’ll choose to remember you —- you with that unbelievable strength and steadfast faith. 

I first met Esmee when I had my job interview at Casa Cystalla in Cagayan de Oro  back in the year 2000. We became friends around 2004 when we became teammates in the Iligan area. I can’t remember how we first worked together but the only recollection I have is that, I never felt intimidated by her and we eventually got along and started a long lasting friendship. And that is the typical first impression you have with Esmee. She has this very light and  friendly persona while she flashes you with her big smile. 
I will never forget the fearless Esmee, the go-getter, the happy and jovial colleague with that loud laugh. 
I will fondly remember the makulit and stubborn Esmee. When she’s in doubt of over something, she‘d call me and ask  my opinion (even if she already made up her mind).  I would then give a long explanation in giving her the pros and cons, but in the end she will still follow  and do what she decided to de before she called me. 
I will never forget Esmee, my friend who loves to travel and take hundreds of poses in every spot she likes..
And last but not the least, most especially for me, I will never forget her for our shared journey late into motherhood. Despite the recent turn of events in her life in last few months, I know deep in my heart,  little Dan gave her the ultimate joy she was looking for. I feel relieved and assured that she was able to achieve the most important thing that truly mattered to her: to have her own family and to be a mother.
Es, you have been a very good friend to me and I will surely miss your company. So till then, see  you in the other side my dear friend .
 In behalf of my family, I extend my sincerest condolences to little Dan, Edwin, Edward and the rest of the family.
 

Dear Esmee, although our time was short together, I sincerely appreciated your dedication, persistence and passion for patients. Your life made a huge difference to people struggling with Schizophrenia and Major Depression. You fought for them! Above all, you were a wonderful, caring, loving Mother to Daniel and you will be greatly missed. With love and compassion, Vicky ♥️

We started our friendship in Cdo where I was a newbie local medrep in 2002. You are known to be tough competitor but between us you were a friendly competitor after working hours.  We clicked and friendship start to bloom even I moved to US.  Es, I am so grateful for our friendship. Thanks goodness with the technology we can talk for hours every week. I am missing that already our long chats and phone calls.  You bring positive vibes always and full of love and forgiveness.  One positivity you have influence to me is being goal oriented.  I was so happy for you when you got pregnant and give birth to little Dan. Your dream becoming a Mom came true. You love your little family so much and you give your best for them.  I love you Es, and I will miss you. Rest in peace. 

Part 4:  I know I speak for so many people, by saying thank you Esmee, for all that you did for your own family, but also for all that you did for your friends and people you touched in passing throughout your life.  Man, woman, young, old, you touched so many people with positivity and true genuine loveliness that is unparalleled and you will be greatly missed more than you will ever know, until me, little Daniel, family and friends see you in Jesus’s kingdom again.  I can not wait until that day, because the world just got much darker now that you have left it.  But hopefully, through those that knew you, we will be able to continue to reflect the sunshine that you graced us with, to each other, and to those who we will continue to deal with in this world, with the sunshine you were given by our Lord Jesus the Christ.  WE LOVE YOU ESMEE!!!  

Part 3:  It is a curse and unbelievable blessing at the same time to have been your husband.  A curse, because now you are gone, and your unparalleled personality has left a huge wake of emptiness, but a blessing because you taught so many of us how to lead our lives and treat others, just like the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught us how to treat others.  But you not only treated people well, but had that special magnetic personality that I haven’t seen in anyone else, and I have been a personnel manager and teacher and have not observed it in anyone like you!  We love you Esmee so much, even though you were a huge pain to deal with in picture taking, because as your husband I was forced into becoming your personal photographer, but now we have so many pictures of how you taught the rest of us in treating others and how you taught us to have the joy that you had for life, is a true blessing to the rest of us, because your pictures are worth more than a thousand words!!

Part 2:   You went against the recommendations and the odds of sticking with Esmee, and she did not disappoint, from her achievements and from proof of the other comments as well!!
Even after going through the process of stage 2 and chemo, she still took the initiative of putting on family get togethers for the holidays and birthdays via zoom in the thick of Covid.  Her ability to put aside her own wants, and wanting to please others was unparalleled, as well as her positivity and magnetic personality was unparalleled.  Most were attracted to her magnetic personality, few were repelled, and if they were repelled, it was because they were jealous of her and her magnetic personality.  What she possessed, is something you can not teach anyone, it is an intrinsic value that was put there by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  


Part 1: Dear Honeybee Hartman (as you called yourself),
No one knows you better than I, and no one knows you like I do.  However, all the comments I have seen so far are very accurate!  You were and still a light to those who came in contact with you.  And those that were ever put off by you, it was simply because they were jealous of how happy and positive you could be, even if the face of people who wanted to try and make life miserable for you.  Mark Berg’s post is very accurate in saying that it was the training department’s fault and recommendation to not bring you on to the company, most likely because the head trainer just couldn’t stifle your positivity in the face of adversity, even when she tried to through mountains of adversity on top of you, especially with final recommendations of not to hire you for your managers.  But how is it you were able to gain 50% of your base salary through commissions by the company, that are based on the work you did out in the field with all your clients?!  It is most likely that the training department needed to be fired, not you.  And as Mark Berg said, good thing that he decided to keep you, because you were always at the top with comparison to your colleagues!  For someone who was scared to write emails to your client doctors because you thought your English wasn’t good enough, but your English is some of the best that I have heard from an immigrant to the U.S. and you still outperformed your American native English-speaking colleagues!  How is it that you did that?!  Because of your genuineness, positivity and your relentlessness in not wanting to fail.  Thank you, Mark, Ted, Dino, George, Faiz in helping Esmee, me and little Daniel in giving Esmee such a wonderful job in which she showcased her true talent of touched so many lives in the medical industry, from receptionists to nurses to doctors and all her colleagues as well!!  

Esmee was a smart, accomplished and beautiful woman. She was a fierce fighter with a kind soul and generous heart. Her greatest and most cherished role and achievement has always been being a mother to Little Dan. She is loved and will be missed.

~ From a very early age, Little Dan was brought to church and Sunday school by Daddy and Mommy and together they taught him how to pray and how to sing "Jesus Loves Me" in our Lutheran church . ~

My dear friend Esmee, we met just a short time ago, however I knew when I met you that we were destined to meet. I am grateful for your smile, friendship, love, strength and grace. Little Dan will always remember you and carry your heart in his hand. His final words to you were "Mommy, I love you a trillion." 

I know this is late as I have just heard of our loss of Esmee.  I was her Director at JnJ.  I can just share what a wonderful and determined person she was.   Her determination-  Initially, completely due to our faults Esmee struggled.  Most would have given up. But when we identified and solved our misses Esmee absolutely took off.  The fastest growth I had ever seen.  She was so good that  We had to make exceptions to compensate her fairly and reward her efforts    I spent more time with her to see her secret.  No secrets- just a really honest smart genuine person.  I and her customers so enjoyed her.  What a true “light of the world” as HE asks us to be.  I pray she is safe in Jesus’ arms.  

Esmee was more than just our drug rep. She became a friend outside of work. On one occasion, we went out for happy together.  We were pregnant at the same time and our babies are only months apart. We attended each other’s baby showers and a birthday and I’m happy that we were able to capture some of those moments. Esmee was truly a ray of sunshine and she’ll be missed by all those she encountered. 

Es,
Friendship never ends even in death.  I take comfort that you were spiritually prepared  and we had time to say our goodbyes.  Distance never became an obstacle with our relationship. During special occasions you never failed to send greetings and sometimes out of the blue when both our schedules permit, we would indulge ourselves with unending “chicka”.  I admire you for your courage and strength for enduring all the trials and difficulties that came into your life. You lived a good life and even till the end CA never defeated you. Godspeed Es. Me and my family will always include you in our prayers🙏Rest in peace now and farewell my friend till we meet again in Heaven.

Dear Esmee was the reason why I got employed to the pharmaceutical company she was in.  We met each other in Manila & she paved the way for me to apply & get the job.    She was smart, fashionable & always liked to party & have fun,  especially during our younger years.
Very recently we re-connected & we talked about how happy she was to be a mother.  I never heard her complain about anything even on the last weeks of her life.  That's why I didn't have any idea that she was  already  in so much pain at that time.  Up to the very end she was brave, strong & dignified. 

Rest in peace my dear friend. You will be missed by many. 

Es, you have been my angel on earth. You have touched my soul when I was down, desperate and in need of comfort. You have already gained your wings even when you were physically with us..but I believe your bigger purpose is served best when you are watching over us..when I feel hopeless, I would like to move forward asking myself, "What would Esme do if she's on my shoe?" Even in spirit, I know you'd still be there guiding me..rest easy my friend. I will miss our chats..

Esmee, you have fought the good fight and now can rest in peace…I will surely miss you my dear friend.Thank you for the memories you have shared, and the friendship through the years.I will always remember you as a person who constantly radiates positivity and vibrance.Heaven gained another beautiful soul…

You will always be remembered as the "lady whose camera is always ready."

I am amazed how you can influence famous people and even celebrities to have a photo with you.

Then you happily share it with the team and all we can say was "aaahhh, ooohhh, wow!"

You will always be remembered.

She was a smart cookie that knew what she wanted and fully aware of the options needed on how to get there. Plus she had the capability to get it done. Yet she still have the grace to charm everyone with her wit smile and personality. Rip .
