The only son of Joseph and Claire Elliot Breuer, he was born in Oakland, CA and lived in Folsom until, at the age of 8, his father’s job took the family to Mexico City, Mexico where he lived for 1 year and was an experience that was always a very fond memory for him.
Upon their return from Mexico, they settled in Oakland where he continued his education. He graduated from Oakland Technical High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Armstrong College in Berkeley, CA. with a major in Sales Management.
Elliot had a long career in Sales management. His success began as a children’s shoe buyer at Capwell’s Department Store in Oakland and a job in Insurance Sales Management brought he and his young family to San Jose in 1974.
He was a Master Mason for 63 years, joining Oakland Durant Rockridge Lodge (Oakland) in 1956 and then in the late 70’s took dual membership with Willow Glen Fraternity Lodge (San Jose.)
He loved all kinds of music and played both the violin and piano. His love for his dogs throughout his life was a constant source of joy for him.
Elliot married his childhood sweetheart, Sandra Mae Biscoe and they celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in 2018. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Breuer, 2 daughters Sheryl Armijos and Karen Ogg, son-in-law Robin Ogg and was preceded in death of his other son-in-law Jack Armijos.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Valley™ for their enduring support and dedication.
