Elida L. Thomas

She was born March 17, 1930 in Rocksprings, Texas to Adolfo Hernandez Lara and Julia Mendez Lara.

Elida or “Currie” was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Wife and Life Partner. . Her greatest achievement in life was the birth of her Daughter, Grandchildren and Great Granddaughter.

She leaves behind her life partner, Francisco Oropeza; daughter, Patricia Chavez and husband Robert Chavez; grandchildren, Regina and Fermin Chavez; great grandchild, Angelica Chavez, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Elida in death are her father, mother, and 7 siblings.

Elida was a woman who loved wearing bright colors, bold patterns, and “Million Dollar” Red lipstick! The family asks that you wear bright colors in her honor.

Visitation will be held Thursday January 9th, 2025

Visitation in Room E from 9:00am to 3:00pm

Chapel of the Roses Visitation 3-6 pm.

Night Service 6pm -8 pm

Funeral/Memorial services will be held Friday January 10th, 2025
