Eleanor (Ellie) Rudd Scott, born February 27, 1931 to Jenny Medearis and Arthur Rudd, died September 1, 2022 in San Jose, California of complications from a fall.
Ellie was the consummate “working girl“ – she started as a line leader at Hewlett-Packard, became their first woman buyer, and retired in her 70s after 48 years with the company. She was a ten year member of the American Motorcycle Association in the 50s and 60s and relished her time riding difficult horses in Woodside and “pony horses“ at Tanforan racetrack. She spoke of her motorcycle and horse adventures with great fondness and pride.
Never one to miss a hair or nail appointment, she also loved cars, shopping, eating out and an ice cold Coke. She is survived by her sister, niece, nephews and grand niece. Cheers to a life well lived!
