Wanda met and married a handsome Air Force crewman in San Antonio, Texas in 1951. She and Wade moved to California in 1953 and provided a loving family home to daughters Lynn and Michelle. Wade and Wanda were married for 47 years at the time of his passing in 1998.
Wanda made many lasting friendships with her warm personality and fun nature. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, cultural events, reading and cheering for Stanford football, the SF Giants and 49ers. Wanda especially loved babies and dogs; neither of which ever passed by without a compliment. She was a member of several social groups and was an enthusiastic bowler. Her talents as a homemaker were impressive and greatly appreciated by her family.
Wanda is predeceased by her loving husband, Wade Wilson and her sister, Betty Manis. She is survived by her devoted daughters Lynn and Michelle, son-in-law Phil and cherished grandchildren Nicole, Stacey, Clark and Caitlin. Additionally survived by nephew Christopher Scherman and family members Jocelyn and Richard Newman and Michael Wilson. Friends and family are forever grateful, thankful and blessed to have had her in our lives.
Private burial services have been held and a memorial life celebration will be held on Saturday, April 16 at the Cambrian Park United Methodist Church, 1919 Gunston Way at 11:00 am.
