Born November 1929 in Mahaffey New Washington Township, Pennsylvania, Doyle Mitchell was the youngest of 5 siblings, to his wonderful parents, James and Ruth (Byres) Mitchell. After 88 significant years, Doyle Mitchell passed away in Santa Cruz California, following many years of severe dementia. While his last years were filled with many obstacles, his legacy is passed on through his generations to come. These include his son, Christopher J. Mitchell, daughter, Mary L Mitchell, grandchildren, Mckenna, Brynn, Daniel, Chelsea, Benjamin, Brian, and many more nieces and nephews. In addition to joining his parents, Doyle is accompanied by his brothers and sisters, James, Harry, Margaret, Sandusky, Miriam Haney, and Helen Daugherty. Along with this, his eldest son, David will be met again.
As an Air Force veteran, Doyle was employed in electronics for General Dynamics and Ames/NASA Research, as well as served as a Deacon for the Gateway City Church. Adding on to being a well devoted Christian and family member, he contained many hobbies in his everyday life. These consisted of photography, nature and the outdoors, and his beloved canine companion, Tory. Having so many accomplishments, Doyle Mitchell will be remembered for his significant accomplishments as, not only a veteran, but also an amazing friend and family member to many people.
