David Wilson Lam, age sixty one, of San Jose, California passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. David was born in Saigon, Ho Chi Minh. Born to Van Lam and Lien Ly, he was the third child out of six. He was a man of many achievements. David was a clothing store owner. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in engineering from San Jose State University and spent twelve years as an engineer. He fell in love and was married to his wife, Amy Ta, for twenty five years. Together, they had their two daughters, Michelle and Katie.
He loved to travel, and even traveled across Europe independently. In the mornings, he would enjoy a hot cup of black coffee while scrolling through the news for the day. David liked tending to his garden, and growing different kinds of plants and vegetables. His favorite pass time was watching different kinds of movies and tv shows. You would always catch him watching Wheel of Fortune during dinner. He took pleasure in going for walks. David was best known for making other laugh and caring for others before himself. He was selfless and always helped others when they were in need. He was a great father and a wonderful husband.
He fought hard against his illnesses for over thirteen years. He is survived by his wife (Amy Ta), their daughters (Michelle Lam and Katie Lam), his mother (Lien Ly), his siblings (Hoa Lam, Manh Lam, Linh Lam, Minh Lam, and Ky Lam), and his nieces and nephews (Karduz Nguyen, Antony Lam, Jennifer Tran, Kevin Nguyen, and Christine Lam). David's funeral is scheduled for December 10th and December 11th, 2022 at Oak Hill Funeral & Memorial Park in the Sunshine Chapel. On December 10th, the first day of the service will begin at 9am and will end at 8pm. On December 11th, the visitation will begin at 9am, service will start at 1pm, and the cremation will be at 2:30pm. We will not be accepting any cash donations, thank you!
