Danny Fernando Ceballos of Modesto, CA went to be with his Lord, and Savior, in the early morning hours of July 12, 2023 after a short battle with Cancer. Danny’s devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his final days and ultimately gave him peace. He was surrounded by loved ones as he stepped into eternity.
Danny was born on December 8th, in Dinuba, Ca to Bennie and Paula Ceballos. After Danny graduated from Andrew Hill High School in 1970, he went on to study at San Jose State University pursuing his AA and while pursuing a position in law enforcement with SJPD and passing the Police Academy but then decided to instead work in computer science.
After a couple of years, he continued his education by pursuing certifications in welding and went on to work for Food Machinery Company (FMC) welding parts for the Bradley tanks used in the Military. After 10+ years an injury forced him to retire in welding so FMC sent him to Sequoia Institute to study mechanics where he became certified for smog and brakes. He also pursued his class A and drove a big rig for a while as well. Let’s just say he was a Jack of all trades!
In 1969, Danny met Mary, the love of his life. Danny and Mary had a relationship unlike any other and the high school sweethearts have been married for 52 years. Danny was blessed with a large and loving family. Together they have 4 children, Danny Jr., Sid, Cindy, and Corinn. Danny lived in San Jose, Ca for many years and recently moved to Modesto, Ca to be closer to his family.
Danny was a man of many talents and interests. One of his many talents included Storytelling. Danny could draw you in and captivate his listeners with his detailed stories, especially his grandchildren. Some of his favorite pastimes included working on cars, playing the drums, and especially playing pool. Danny was known to “put the whoopin’” on his pool contenders, specifically his two sons, Danny Jr. and Sid.
Danny was preceded by his parents Bennie and Paula and older brother Ronnie Ceballos. He is survived by his faithful, loving wife, Mary Ceballos; his four children, Danny Jr., Sid, Cindy, and Corinn; and their spouses, Margaret, Susan, Steve, and Kenny Jr., respectively; 16 grandchildren; his sister JoAnn; his brother Benny Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.
