San Jose - Mr. Daniel Wayne Minor, age 20, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 6, 2018. He was born September 16, 1997 in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Rob Minor and Teri (Collins) Minor, the third of their four children.
Danny attended Santa Teresa High School. He was a strong, handsome young man with an absolute love of life. He was quick with his smile and the first one to say, “Let’s do it!” He was fearless and constantly wanted to try anything new. It is not surprising that with his can-do attitude that he was amazing at so many things. He picked up a camera at a very young age and never put it down. always dreamed of being in film and acting. Recently, he took up acting classes to fulfill his lifelong dream. He was an incredible snowboarder and outdoorsman, loved hiking, boating, swimming, working out, and driving fast. He had skills and loved to show them off. Simply put, he was an incredible guy.
Danny’s family and friends knew another side of him as well. Danny was kind and sweet, with a heart of gold. He was known for his loyalty, and that included his loved ones as well as his favorite team, the Denver Broncos, and whatever car he was currently working on to turn into a dream ride. As if this wasn’t enough, he could also cook. Loved by so many, it is hard to think of a world without him in it, but he will not be forgotten.
Danny is survived by his father Rob Minor, and his siblings Rachel, Jack, and Pariss Minor. He is also survived by his grandparents, Craig and Estelle Minor, and Carol Rall, as well as by his aunts and uncles: Cindy and Jeff Faulkner, Kristine and Andrew Puckey, Nicole Minor, Natasha Minor, Alexandra Minor, Suzie Adams, Marcelle Loveday, Candy Rall and Cindy Fairfield. Danny will also be dearly missed by his cousins, Madison and Samuel Puckey, Kody and Skye Minor, Celine Adams, and Ariana Rall, as well as close family friends John, Kris, Ryan, and Matthew Middlested, Camaron Ordonez, and Lauren Martinez.
Danny was predeceased by his mother, Teri (Collins) Minor, his uncle, Mark Minor, grandparents Sylvia and David Weber, and Jerry Collins, and great-grandmother Lyla “Goggie” Minor.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Chapel of the Oaks, Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose.
