Dan was born in Sparta Tennessee on December 8, 1964, the son of Barbara & Curtis Tindle.
Dan graduated from West Orange Senior High in 1983 and went on to get his MA in Psychology at San Jose State University.
He worked as licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at many agencies including Giaretto Institute, Aspira Foster and Family Services, EMQ Children & Family Services, the County of Santa Clara, and his most recent employment at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.
He loved to socialize with his friends and enjoyed movies, good food, hiking, dancing, traveling and meaningful conversations. He was a devoted friend who was able to build intimacy and deep connections with those he loved. He made people laugh and cry, with the capacity to touch someone's heart with ease and grace. He loved making people happy and would go above and beyond to help a friend in need. He had a generous spirit that touched many lives.
He also loved animals, especially his cat Tommy who he had a very special bond with. Most of the pictures he took over the last several years were of Tommy curled up in his arms or in adorable kitty poses.
He believed that the spirit is eternal and that we do not die but are simply energy that changes form when we cross over. He also believed we are all connected by spirit, like a "splash in the ocean is part of the entire ocean".
He is survived by his parents, brother (Gavin Tindle), a niece (Evelyn Tindle) and numerous friends who loved him dearly.
