Devoted husband, Loving father, Patriot, walked daily with the Lord, born in Burlington, Iowa. Enlisted in the Army and was in both the European Campaign at the Battle of the Bulge and the Pacific Campaign in Okinawa. After being discharged, he returned to Atlanta, Georgia to see his mom and dad and met Mary Rebecca Eidson who was the love of his life - they were married 67 years. Active in the Lutheran Church in various capacities of service to the Lord. He graduated from Georgia Tech and went to work for Dupont on the Savannah River Project. He was interviewed by Lockheed Missile and Space and moved to California in 1958. He worked for Lockheed on many top secret projects some of which were in connection with the skunk works. He retired after 32 years.He is survived by his wife Mary (Becky) Johnson of Santa Rosa, his children Chuck Johnson of Sunnyvale, Debbie (Ron) Helmonds of Port Ludlow, Washington, Fran Bengtsson of Santa Rosa, Gail (Fred) Malianni of Benecia, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and sister Mary Tornborg of Carlsbad, Nieces Emily Amy of Montana, Anita (Jim) Brusso and a nephew Bob (Annette) Tornborg
Memorial Services to be held on Monday August 25 at 11am at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel 710 Willow St. San Jose, Internment to follow service at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Fremont.
