Clara Jo Taylor, 81, recently of San Jose, CA passed away after a long illness on the morning of February 4th, 2023. Jo was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on November 30th, 1941, to Maurita and Lehman Edwards. She spent happy days with her grandparents Gilbert and Josie Pinkston in Filer, Idaho then later moved to Boise, Idaho where she graduated from Borah High School. She attended Weber State University in Ogden, UT and California State University in Chico, CA where she earned an Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Her education culminated in her earning a license as a Registered Nurse.
Jo married Don Taylor in 1966, and together they had two boys: Andrew and Christopher. She worked as an RN for 34 years in six different states. As a professional working outside the home she was proud to be a member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), the National Association of Hospital Central Service (NAHCS) Board of Directors, the Waco AAFES Occupational Health team, and the Mission Viejo YMCA Board of Directors.
Jo is survived by her husband Don; her oldest son Andrew and his wife Andrea, their children Ethan and Lauren; and her youngest son Christopher and his wife Kristen, their children Nathan, Elise, and Zachary. She joins her older sister Audrey, her father Lehman, and her mother Maurita in their eternal rest in a better place.
A family funeral service will be held at Willow Glen Funeral Home located at 1039 Lincoln Ave in San Jose CA on Monday February 27th 2023 at 2PM.
Burial will be at the Millville Cemetery east of Redding, CA on Tuesday February 28th 2023 at 1PM.
