Dear mom, I love you soooo much. I miss you a lot. The day after you passed, I went for a hike and I kept thinking how much you meant to all of us and how much I'll miss you. 

Sometimes your memories pop up, like that picture where you are sticking your tongue out -- it makes me laugh thinking about how much fun you were and how I loved to talk to you.

Your memory pops up when I go to the Dr and I think about all the time we had to share together, and how we both learned to love and be patient with one another. 

I think about all the times you have been so generous, so thoughtful , such a great listener. 
How I loved dreaming with you about what would life be like if we lived during Jane Austen's time. 
Thanks for making us cinnamon rolls at 5am, and Apple Streusel from scratch. For letting us eat the best cereal (that others might might deny) . Thanks for getting us Friday night Big Macs, because you had a meeting with dad. Thanks for always encouraging and always supporting and always loving. For always expecting the best of us. I love you sooo much , mom.
I can't wait unti we have a HUGE BLOW OUT party in Heaven, with a big banquet and soo much food, we will have left overs for infinite.

You always made us a healthy dinner at night, you always did all the laundry, the cooking, the cleaning. You were always worried if we were safe, you always had our best interest in mind. 

I love love love you and i will always remember what an amazing wonderful person you were.

To The Byrne Children,
My condolences on the loss of your dear mother, Charlotte. She was my Aunt and Godmother.  She honored me by making me the Godmother of her lovely daughter Joyce.  I am saddened that we only found you as a result of her obituary as I would have given anything for one last chat with her. Although I've not seen her in years, I'd know that wonderful smile anywhere.  My sister Pat shared the phone call she had with Cindy recently and we are eager to get to know you all. My heart goes out to Joyce and the Byrne Family. Charlotte was a blessing and I am very sadden to learn of her passing.  She always made me smile.  May you find comfort knowing that she is with Mia and in a better place.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sad that your precious Mother is gone, however I would love to be with her in a much better place! She was always loving to me. You all can be very proud of your Mom. Stay close to the Lord and you will be with her one day!

Growing up next to the Byrne family was quite an amazing experience. I will always remember the Byrne family parties, the never ending supply of awesome baby sitters, and all the fun and joy that accompanied. About 5 years ago I came home to visit my parents and when on a walk strolling past the Byrne house one night I could see a family dance party going on upstairs in the windows with a bevy of Charlotte's children and grandchildren. I remember thinking "Dance party at the Bryne house? All is right in the world tonight!". It was a moment I wont forget and looking back it's amazing to think that all of those moments of joy and family love came from Charlotte. She was a bright light and she will truly be missed. Living next door to Charlotte and her family for 32 years has been a wonderful blessing.  We knew Charlotte had to be a fantastic mother, since her kids were just like her, kind and friendly.  I will never forget moving into our house 4 days after having our first baby.  We didn't have many major household goods, such as a washer & dryer, or a lawn mower, but the Byrnes were there with true Christian kindness.  Lawrence, age 12, mowed our lawn and wouldn't take any money for his labor.  The Byrnes girls watched baby Brian, so I could go to the laundromat to wash and dry our clothes.  I'll never forget Vicky and Christy dressing Brian up in doll clothes, or taking pictures with Brian at the park.  Charlotte was there with kind words of conversation, advice about babies for me as a new mother, and always a cup of sugar or and egg or two late at night when we ran out.  
When our second son, Daniel, arrived, the kids met us when we arrived home with a welcome home banner and beautiful blanket all the kids contributed in decorating as a neighborhood project.  We were fortunate having so many qualified babysitters living right next door.  I think all of the Byrnes kids babysat our kids as they all grew older.  Charlotte brought her kids to birthday parties for the boys at our house, celebrating with us, and my boys always had a great time playing with the Byrne boys on the lawn (when their dad wasn't home).  Daniel learned to walk when the Byrnes kids would sit in a circle and have him walk to them, always ready to catch him if he fell.  Our boys knew the voices of the Byrnes family so well.  This was demonstrated when Pat and John dressed up as Santa Claus and an elf and tried to come into our house to bring them some gifts.  Jim didn't recognize them and wasn't going to let them in, but they started saying Brian and Daniel's names, and the boys yelled out, Hi Pat/John! without even seeing them.
We watched the Byrnes kids grow up and had the extreme honor of sitting with Charlotte at many a wedding, sharing her joy.  One of the truths we have learned about Charlotte is she was a lady who really knew how to have a great time at a party.  She was the first and last body on the dance floor, and danced with such wild abandon and joy.  Whenever I hear the expression, dance like no one is looking, I think of her.  She truly was the life of the party, and passed this on to her children.  We never liked to miss out when she would tell us, party at the Byrnes!  We knew it would be a fantastic time for all. 
Life was tough for her when she found herself a single parent.  She used to tell me her worries about making ends meet and being able to give her kids enough attention.  She worried, she cried, and she turned to God for help, but didn't crumble.  She worked hard and gave her energy to raising her family.  Lesser women would have not made it, but Charlotte was much stronger than even she thought.  
After 32 years of living next door to Charlotte, the two things that stand out the most from watching and knowing her are:
1.She was a true Christian.  She was a true believer and lived a Christian life.  She helped those in need, looked to the Lord for guidance, and remained steadfast to her faith.  We have no doubt, God welcomed her with open arms into his kingdom, and she is happy, healthy, and whole again, watching over her children and grandchildren.  
2.She LOVES her children and grandchildren unconditionally!!!!  We say loves, because we are sure she watches over all of them and will be with them by their side as they go through life.  To the Byrne kids:  You kids may not see her, but if you let it happen, you WILL know she is there..after all, a mother's love is never ending.
After 32 years, it was so sad watching the Byrnes move.  While the house has some new paint, new carpet, and spruced up floors, the memories and love shared by Charlotte and her children and grandchildren are contained there forever.  A new family recently moved in, and after being empty for many months, I couldn't help but think Charlotte would have loved the sound I heard and the sight I say yesterday coming from their house; a little girl's laughter as she ran up to the porch and grabbed her mother's hand and walked inside.
Charlotte:  Rest In peace knowing you made a difference in many people's lives.  You raised your children well, as demonstrated by the kind acts they did for others as children and continue to do as adults.  We miss you and will always remember you as the beautiful, energetic, caring woman who shared herself with us all.

Charlotte was always a bright spot in our schedule. Even when she was suffering, she always had a smile for the entire staff. She will be missed greatly. I know she is finally without pain and just smiling down on all of you. God Bless!

One thing is certain, Charlotte loved having her family at home and you could always tell when there was a celebration at the Byrne house! You could hear the fun across the street!
