Char was born on July 21, 1948 in Akron, Ohio to Ellis & Jean Good. She grew up in Mountain View, California, where she graduated from high school.
Char worked as a Technical Illustrator at Stanford Research Institute for 14 years, where she met her husband. She married Geoff on April 18, 1980 and enjoyed 39 years of laughter, and love in Sunnyvale. She enjoyed gardening, playing AAA softball, skiing, fishing, riding her dirt bike, and anything outdoors. In her later years she was an avid fan of Stanford Women’s sports, enjoyed off-roading in Moab and Bryce, and spoiling her niece and nephew, along with their families.
Char was defined by her love for the Lord and her love for her family. Her moral character was the highlight of her life. She was strong yet extremely compassionate and full of life. Those who knew her are all better people because of her. She supported them and challenged them to be their best. She was an encourager who always reached out to help everyone around her, never met a stranger, and could do anything she put her mind to. She loved to laugh and would even laugh at herself. If you needed a job done right and thoroughly, you could count on her. Faithful and true! She was the truest friend and loved one anyone could know. She is so missed and loved by all that know her.
Char is survived by her husband, Geoff; her sisters, Kathy Richardson (Ron) of Denair CA, Gerri Moon (Dean) of Gilroy CA, Audrie Newport (Don) of Benson AZ, Alice Turner (Pat) of San Jose CA, Lynn Clanton (Don) of Los Gatos CA; best friend, Sandy Lawrence of Gardnerville NV; niece, Leann Couchman (Nate & Addie, Allie, Noah) of Denair CA; nephew, AJ Richardson (Lauren & Layla) of Turlock CA; along with a whole host of other family and friends.
Char is preceded in death by her parents Ellis & Jean, and sister Debbie.
