Bonnie Lea Anderson was entered into rest on May 5, 2015 in Gilroy, CA. She passed at the age of 60. Bonnie was born on July 16, 1954 in Whitefish, Montana to the late parents of Alvan Lorn Larter Sr. and Veda Iona Larter-Engerbretson.
Ms. Anderson moved from Whitefish, Montana to California in the early 1970's. She attended college for nursing and completed 2 years. Bonnie married the late Robert Lee Anderson in Carson City, Nevada on January 10, 1981. Robert and Bonnie had their own upholstery business called " Du-All Upholstery ", which they conducted from their home. In the mid 1990's Bonnie began working for the newspaper company, USA Today. Ms. Anderson was very dedicated and harding working, she worked for USA Today for over 10 years. In her later years she also worked as a caregiver in Santa Clara County where she tended to ill and elderly people. In between working Bonnie also cared for her grandchildren and of course her two daughters.
Bonnie was a strong, loving, compassionate, friendly and entertaining person. She always had a positive, uplifting attitude followed by a smile on her face, even on a bad day she was able to find the good in it and continue to stay strong. She is the true definition of a fighter. Ms. Anderson was an open and easy person to talk to, she was consistently willing to listen to anyone and be as best of support as she could. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and baking; she made everything from scratch. Even when Ms. Anderson was unable to still cook or bake she continued to write down recipes for herself and to share with others. Her specialties were her spinach dip, potato salad and her cherry cheesecake who none will forget. She also enjoyed gardening and maintaining to her small plants. As many know Bonnie loved to joke around, she was quick to make everyone laugh and was a great person to be around. No matter the circumstance Bonnie was constantly giving unconditional love to those around her, she was definitely an unforgettable person. There was not a day that went by where Bonnie did not bring joy to her family and friends around her.
Ms. Anderson is preceded in death in by her younger brother Ordean Engerbretson. She is survived by her oldest daughter Ameerah Maldonado of Gilroy, CA and her youngest daughter Paula Lomax of Sacramento, CA. Bonnie is also survived by seven grandchildren Gregory Anderson and Marcus Anderson, of San Jose, CA; Kiara De La Rosa of Gilroy, CA; Enrique Sanchez Jr. and Robert Sanchez of San Jose, CA; and Jasmine Anderson-Lomax and Azalya Anderson-Lomax of Sacramento, CA. She also leaves behind her brother Alvan Lorn Larter Jr. of Minnesota; her aunt Pearl Williams of Rohnert Park,CA; her son in law Christopher Maldonado of Gilroy, CA; her brother in law Napolin Anderson and sister in law Dorthy Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada; Edna Mae Crenshaw of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In addition she leaves behind nieces, nephews, several cousins and friends.
Ms. Anderson was truly a blessing to everyone who crossed her path , she is loved and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 12th 5:00-8:30pm at Lima Family Erickson, 710 Willow St., San Jose. The funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 13th at Lima Family Erickson with a burial to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA.
