Betty Marie Soto, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Hazel Hawkins Hospital surrounded by her family. Betty is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years Joe. Parents Elmer and Anna Rogers, brothers Bill, Joe, Paul, and Bob Rogers. She is survived by her daughters Julie and Joey Soto, Kimberly Rivera, goddaughter Lorin Lopes, adopted grandson Justin Bingman, Sisters in law Betty, Ruby, and Rozetta Rogers, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Betty was born in Arkansas and moved with her family to California where she grew up in Porterville CA.
Betty met her husband Joe September 1964 @ Mel's Diner in San Jose, "draggin main ". They went on to marry February 13th, 1965.
Betty was a hardworking woman who together with her husband built a successful business spanning over 3 decades. Finally retiring in 2000, in Hollister CA.
Betty had many interests and hobbies during her lifetime. Betty was an avid reader and gardener. She loved to cook, bake, and had a passion for travel. Other hobbies included camping, boating, dunebugging, gambling, and riding on the back of Joe's Harley. She loved the beach.
Betty and Joe shared a lifetime of love and adventures. Their travels took them all over the world and many trips around the U.S. riding their Harley. The love and dedication they shared was a true inspiration.
Betty was extremely devoted to her family and friends. She was a giving, caring, passionate, thoughtful, funny beautiful lady. Betty was an amazing mother and loved her daughters dearly. She will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness and love.
Betty is at peace now with the love of her life Joe, together for all eternity.
