Although a year has gone by, you are missed and thought of often. True friends are so hard to find and you were one of those few genuine people. I know I will see you again in heaven my friend. Until then, may you smile that smile I remember so well. Love you always kiddo!

I love you Berta thank you cousin for always loving us and being there for us. You will forever be missed and loved. 

My husband surprised me for my birthday and said he was taking me to Napa for the day, but he said I have a big surprise for you in the limo! When he opened up the limo door, it was Berta!!! I wept like a little girl from excitement knowing I was reunited with my buddy 💝 I am not sure how I will recuperate from this loss 😪 💔

At my wedding, I tossed my bouquet of flowers and couldn’t wait to see who caught it. When I turned around,  I was thrilled to see it was my best friend, Berta who caught the  Bouquet!💝  My heart is broken 😪

To Berta’s Family

I worked at Meriwest with Berta for several years. We would meet in the halls or when I made my rounds to her department. 

Berta made quite an impression upon me. I recall her as consistently sweet as well as fun-loving. She always exuded positive energy.   

I am experiencing a deep sense of personal loss. 

Please know that she continues on in all of us who are more positive individuals because of our interactions with her.  I will think of her often.

Ms. Berta.  Thank you for your love, kindness and compassion. You were a true, honest and trustworthy friend who always listened, shared advice and kept my secrets. I will cherish the memories of you, that big smile and the wonderful sense of humor you had. Even in the darkest of times, you always made me laugh. You were a great person and you made such a positive impact in my life. I feel so blessed to have known you. Until we meet in heaven, know that I will miss you my friend. Rest In Peace. 

I was fortunate enough to work with Berta for 4 years in the Lending Dept, but knew her for many years prior to that. I considered Berta not just a co-worker, but a Friend.
She was definitely one of a kind! She was so funny, She always made me laugh, I will miss her wonderful laugh. I really related to her because we both had one Son, and our Son's were our world! She was just as close to her Son, as I was to mine. I never got the opportunity to meet her Son, but I would like to tell him that your Mom always talked highly about you, and was very proud of you, and you could tell just how much she loved you, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you, and your family. Berta had called me at home 2 days before she passed, and told me that she was excited about her plans for the weekend, and I told her that I noticed how happy she has been recently. She told me she was very happy with her new job position at work, and I told her it was so great to see her that way. I am still in shock, and it's so hard to believe that I won't see her again. My heart is broken, and I will miss my Friend Berta very much! May she rest in peace.

It has been a great 8 years working with you! You have became an amazing friend and colleague of mine. I am very heartbroken and saddened by our loss.  I am still in shock and speechless. Your smile will forever be in my heart.  May you rest in paradise. My heart goes out to your family, sending prayers and love. 

Berta, you were a joy to work with at Meriwest. I loved your sense of humor and wit. I enjoyed our chats and especially our laughs. 

My thoughts and prayers are with your family whom I know meant so much to you. May you rest in peace and love.

 I am so sorry for your loss. For the brief  time I knew her, she seemed to always have a kind broad smile on her face, even though I knew from conversations life was sometimes difficult. She always radiated strength, jolly spirit, and can do toughness that I admired and respected.  I will always remember her penetrating smile, cracking jokes,  and laughter in the hallways and class. I want to thank you for teaching a lot of us to be strong and independent especially us single moms. Also for telling me that I was a good mom and that Z is happy and that I need to be his voice.
