Angelo John (Jack) Palma, Resident of San Jose, Ca. entered into eternal peace on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving children. Jack was born and raised in San Francisco (Mission District), CA to Josephine M. and Angelo J. Palma, Sr. He was proud of his service to his country in the Army 134th Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion Company D headquarters during World War II, especially the Battle of the Bulge. Upon returning home he earned a B.S. in Accounting from University of San Francisco and become a CPA. Jack worked for 40 years in the agricultural business. He moved to San Jose with his family in 1960 and was an active parishioner of St. Christopher's Church for over 50 years. He loved having his family and friends come over to discuss the world events and all financial business topics.He loved his garden, and making his famous pesto and sour dough french bread.
Jack is preceded in death by his beloved parents, his wife of 45 years Elizabeth (Betty) Cook, his brother James, bother and sister-in-law June W. Cook and Warren S. Hyde and brother-in-law Theodore D. Cook. He is survived by his beloved children Margaret, Nancy (Fred) Herbst, Marilyn and Ronald (Pam) Palma, and his sister-in-laws Helen Cook and Madelon Palma. As well as many adoring nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life beginning with a Vigil on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at Lima Family Erickson Mortuary at 710 Willow Street, San Jose, Ca 95125. Rites of Christian Burial will be at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1576 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125 on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 11:30 A.M. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jack's name to Hospice of the Valley, 4850 Union Avenue, San Jose, Ca 95124
