Tư, it's been four years since I last saw you, and I miss you every day. Every time I see a can of Coca-Cola, a bag of chips—especially "chicharrón"—or think of your smile when I would remind you to "watch what you eat, brother, those aren’t good for you!", I’m reminded of you. I also recall your advice when I was overwhelmed with work and other tasks at home: "Hey, slow down and enjoy the time; work will always be there." I wish you were still here so I could learn more about the Church and Catholic apologetics from you, but I understand it's God's will for you to be home with Him. I find comfort in knowing you are praying for us, and we pray for your soul every day.  See you again one day!

How could I forget a day of 1979 when you and your Mom were coming to visit me in the communist concentration camp Tan Lap, Vinh Phu K1. The way is over 1000 km and infested of burglars and criminal. You were 15 years old, living in a post-war country, a place of violence and hate. How God is choosing you to be His disciple? Nobody in the family is expecting this could happened to you. You are responding to His voice by serving Him with all your heart and soul. Until the day you gave your life and blood. 
            Philippe Nguyễn Hữu Phi, to me, you are a Martyr. I believe to the day God will give you Justice and Peace in His Royaume.

I'm sorry to learn so late, so much after the fact, of Phi's passing away. He started at the college when I was rector. He was one of the students I most enjoyed. He was always happy and encouraging to others. I had to argue with him for several years to get his teeth fixed and actually offered to pay for it. He was proud that the Communist soldiers in Vietnam had kicked out his two front teeth. He wore their absence as a badge of honor. Eventually he gave in and you can see from the picture his great smile. God bless you, Phi. Heaven is now yours. I have always been proud to say you were my student.  Bishop Clark

You never felt out of place when you were with Phi. I know I never did. He always made me feel like I had someone who had my back. Phi, I miss your anecdotes and most of all your laugh. How fond I hold memories of us. Be at peace my brother.

Phil is one of my son’s very good friend in the Seminary.  He was kind, compassionate and funny . He told me more than ones that he was praying for my future God’s sent husband .
I’m now married to a God fearing, bible believing and kind man.  Thank you Phil.
Heaven is a bit brighter with your presence.
