Pauline M. Ellingson

Pauline Ellingson (Menzel), age 98, died peacefully in her Temple City home on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Pauline was preceded in death by her sisters Mildred and Ann as well as her husband of 66 years, Vernon.

She is survived by their daughter Lee Ann who cared for her mother in her final years. Pauline is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Born Dec. 26, 1918 in South Dakota, Pauline went to school, met her husband and lived in Pipestone, MN. The family lived in Florida for several years and moved to California in the early 1960's and have lived in Temple City for over 50 years. Wife and homemaker, a fan of Big Band music, Pauline loved to dance and would light up when talking about evenings spent dancing as a young woman. Camping across the United States was often part of the annual trip to visit friends and family in MN.

Pauline was an active member is St Luke's Catholic Church, in Temple City, CA and a daily Mass attendee for many years. She was a member of the Rosary Guild and the Catholic Daughters of America.

The Funeral Mass will be at St Luke's in Temple City, CA on April 18, 2017 at 9:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Catholic Daughters of America. Please send donations to
