Born in Los Angeles Oscar was a graduate of Garfield High School. He earned his B.A. from Cal State Long Beach. Oscar went to work at the L.A. Times in 1976. His proudest moment at the Times was when his photo of the Northridge Earthquake made the front page. He is survived by his Mother, Victoria Murillo and Stepdad, Richard; his children Winona and Dylan; his loving companion, Susie; his brother Chris Murillo and Stefany; his sister, Sissy Faltermeier and Tom; his neice Makena and nephews Logan and Matthew. Upon his request no service will be held.
