Mary Lou Gutierrez

It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Mary Lou Gutierrez. On April 14, 2021 Mary Lou was reunited with her youngest son, Arnold and is survived by her husband of 63 years Arturo; children Arlene, Robert, and Martin; her grandchildren Joshua, Arnold Jr, Jennifer, and Robert Jr; and great grandchildren Aiden, Bryant, and Riley. Mary Lou Regalado was born on June 18, 1937 to parents Henry and Carlotta Regalado in East Los Angeles, California. She had 5 siblings; Herbert, Hortencia, Rachel, Rudy, and Ruben. At the age of 20 yeas old she married Arturo and began her lifelong service of homemaking and child rearing. She would later sell Avon and begin a career working in the cafeterias of the Garvey School District. She was a woman of faith and family meant everything to her. Over the course of her life she lead a very social life and was inseparable from her husband Arturo. Mary Lou was undeniably the backbone of our family and selfless in her servitude to everyone she cared for. We thank God for his will in taking her home to rest after 83 beautiful years of life.
