Born on September 8, 1926, in Taishan, Guangdong, China, Wai Mon immigrated to America in the 1940s, seeking better opportunities. He met his wife during his travels in Hong Kong, then married in 1979, and she lovingly cared for him until the very end. Together, they worked tirelessly to provide a wonderful life for their two daughters. Wai Mon was also a proud grandfather to his grandson, a loving father-in-law to his 2 son-in-laws, a dear brother to his 4 siblings, and caring uncle to his many nephews and nieces.
In his free time, Wai Mon enjoyed photography, sipping coffee at local cafes in San Francisco’s Chinatown, weekend dim sum outings, and spending quality time with his family.
While his presence will be deeply missed, we find solace in knowing that his life and legacy continue to live on through his loved ones.
A private moment for Wai Mon will be held Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Green Street Mortuary, 649 Green Street, San Francisco, CA 94133. Following the private moment will be a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park Crematory, 1000 El Camino Real, Colma, CA 94014.
