Tyler Youke Woo passed away peacefully on June 24, 2014 in his hometown of San Francisco. Born on April 7, 1925, he graced us for 89 years with his gentle, warm and witty spirit. Tyler is survived by Helen Lin Woo, his wife of 51 years. He was a devoted father to Iris Woo; dear father-in-law to Weyland Wong; doting grandfather to Aleena Wong and loved by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends
Born and raised in San Francisco's bustling Chinatown, he attended Old St. Mary's Chinese Day School and graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1944. He became a lithographer and worked at Stecher-Traung-Schmidt for 43 years until his retirement. Tyler was an avid Forty Niners fan since the 1950s at Kezar, through 2013 at Candlestick and now in spirit for The New Santa Clara Stadium this fall.
Helen and Tyler were great travel companions who visited six continents. They indeed had a lifetime of adventures.
