Born on March 12, 1936 in Lucca, Italy to loving parents, Nella and Giulio Tuccori, Sergio Tuccori was one of five siblings (3 sisters and 1 brother: Franca, Anna Maria, Giovanna, and Enzo). He leaves behind an inspiring, 86-year-long legacy.
During his childhood years, Sergio enjoyed country living in his small village of Pieve San Paolo. Some of his favorite pastimes included fishing, raising birds, and riding bikes with friends. As a teenager, his ambition led him to become an electro-mechanic apprentice. Sergio quickly advanced as a lead car technician with customers traveling far and wide for his expertise.
Through a shared commute, he met the love of his life, seamstress Fidalma (Alma) Nomellini. Sergio’s home was located along Alma’s daily bike route to work. Their paths crossed, and this became the starting point of a lifelong journey together.
Alma immigrated to the United States from Italy in 1955. Shortly after, Sergio joined her to live out their American dream in San Francisco where they resided for over 60 years. Throughout his life, Sergio’s dreams would become a reality. He and Alma wed in 1961, and their love flourished for 62 years. Sergio excelled in managerial roles and ultimately became a successful investor and small business owner.
Sergio’s heart of gold and glowing personality could light up any room. His favorite things ranged from preparing home-cooked meals, raising canaries, spending quality time with loved ones, and visiting his home away from home in Lake County. There he tended to many fruit trees and a variety of vegetables in his garden. He and Alma traveled to many destinations along with friends and family, making cherished memories along the way.
Above all, he was a beloved father and nonno. His pride and joy were his daughters, Julie (Robert) and Susan (Robert), and his 5 grandchildren, Chris (Allyson), Daniel (Leticia), Victoria, Nicole, and Amanda. Sergio poured his heart into his family, for whom he gave never-ending love and support.
He always shared valued pearls of wisdom and led by example, becoming his family’s role model for hard work, determination, kindness, and peace. Sergio was a giving soul who went above and beyond to help others.
On January 24, 2023, Sergio Tuccori passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. They will treasure precious memories with him and keep his legacy alive. Sergio was admired as a true inspiration to all who knew him. His bright smile will live on in our hearts forever. We love you eternally.
