Kathleen Sarah Fox passed away peacefully on January 24th, 2019. She was 100 years old. Kay was the daughter of James & Edith Fox, and sister to James Fox. She attended St. Anne's Elementary School, Presentation High School, and the University of California Berkeley, graduating with a Masters in Public Health. During World War II, Kay served in the United States Navy. She then worked as a public health educator in Santa Barbara and Long Beach before becoming a consultant to USAID in Lima, Peru for ten years. Kay returned to San Francisco and worked for the Public Health Service in dental health. She was very active in the Society for Public Health Educators (SOPHE).
Kay will be missed for her kindness, generosity and delightful sense of humor. She is survived by five nieces: Teresa Rosatelli of Seaside CA, Margaret Fox of Minilla CA, Colleen Bohn of Richland MI, LeaAnn Tucker of Cool, CA and Virginia Davis of El Dorado, CA.
