My apologies for the much belated posting. The news just reached me and for that I am so sorry.

I worked with David at the Covina Public Library.

In the workplace, David was the model of excellence. I admired his can-do attitude and positive team spirit. He was a high achiever—and even way back then, you could tell his inner GPS was navigating the road to success.

But life is more than the jobs we preform. It’s the people we encounter and the relationships we build. The lasting imprints that some folks leave are the greatest evidence of a successful life. To me, this is the legacy David left behind. He saw friendships as one of the true joys of life. He created meaningful relationships and enduring connections. 

David, you are such a special person. I am blessed to call you friend.

Hello. I worked with David at Covina Public Library. I just found out about his passing,  a year and a half later.

I'm so sorry. He was truly one of a kind. Full of laughter and love and friendship.  Truly taken too young from us.

To his parents,  I am so sorry. I can't imagine your pain.

Thank you for all the beautiful memories. From when we met at the library till you graduated UCLA. I’m glad I was able to be by your side through all of that. I got to see first hand how hard you worked. When we were struggling students and we had to eat Mac and cheese with hot dogs just to save for our trips to Yosemite and SB. We always had a great time. You were my first love and I will always keep you in my heart. Through you, I met all your wonderful friends. And even though we separated you still checked up on me and we got to continue to share the new adventures that life brought us. I am so proud of all your accomplishments. You have a beautiful  soul and I won’t forget all the good times. I wish I could have spoken to you and heard your voice one last time. You made a great impact on my life. Thank you for sharing those six years with me.

David -   I have so many happy memories of you when you were a small child.   Your laughter was probably my favorite.  It always warmed my heart.  You had  a way of turning your head up to the heavens and belly laughing.   

Even though we lost touch for awhile  - when you called me several months ago - it was like old times.   I wish we could have met up in person again.   May God keep you safe.

It's incredibly hard to reconcile that you are no longer here.  It's going to be a process for us to learn to adjust to a world without you—the gravity of it is profoundly felt.

Dear David,
It is unbelievable that you are no longer here with us.  We had not that long ago texted about visiting you and your sending pictures of your apartment.  You were so proud.   
I have always admired you for your hard work and diligence against all odds and achieving so much in your short life.  
You always kept in touch and would pick me up from work sometimes and take me home just to talk. 
You touched so many lives because you were a genuinely great guy.  I want you to know how much you will always be loved and missed.  You definitely made an impact on my life.  THANK YOU!
