Carolyn Ann Laster

Carolyn was born to parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laster Sr. on October 14,1956 in San Francisco,

CA. She grew up as the youngest daughter of six. She attended S.F. Public Schools, and was baptized

at Holy Missionary Baptist Church by the late, Rev. James Leach Sr. In the early 1980’s she

worked as a Home Caregiver. Carolyn loved her family and loved to be amongst the company of family

and friends. She had a love for cooking and entertaining for close friends. Carolyn also loved fashion

and the color Red.

Carolyn Laster is survived by her two sons, Aaron Holmes of San Francisco, CA and Reginald (Rich)

Blackwell of Sacramento, CA; her two sisters, Clara Powell and Pat Hall; her brothers Romero Laster,

Brent Walker-Laster and Larry Hall; and her granddaughter Shaliyah Holmes. She is preceded in

death by her parents, Violet Lynch and Robert Laster Sr; and her brother Robert Laster Jr. She also

leaves behind her Aunt Viola Harper of San Francisco, CA and Uncle Jim Dennis of Emeryville, CA.,

and a host of cousins, nieces / nephews, family and friends.
