I began polka dancing when I was 16 years old.  I would go to the dances with my mom and dad and would sometimes have a hard time finding someone to dance with.  Carl Jakubowski introduced me to Morris and from then on, I always had someone to dance with.  I looked forward to the dances to see what Morris would be up to next. Susie,  I was so sorry to hear of Morey's passing.  My fondest memory is when I would call to speak with you on the phone, he would always sing, " My love grows where my Rosemary goes"....that just made my day! Our thoughts and prayers are with you my friend.  Your friend,

Good bye "Pa". You took me to my very first polka festival. We drove for 3 days. Got to 7 Springs and danced for 4 days then went to Bel Air days. That's where I met your wonderful Susie. I'll always remember you bringing me flowers to Blinkies on the bike of your bike. And you never let me forget the speeding ticket I got before we even got out of CA. on our way to Springs. I was saddened to hear of Morey's passing.  His playful nature and warm heart will live on in all our memories! We'll lift a glass of wine for him! Thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Thanks for the tour of the Budweiser Brewery where you worked, thanks for the $100 bill you gave me after winning big at Santa Anita racetrack. Thanks for the motorcycle ride guiding me thru those beautiful mountains viewed from your backyard.
Thanks for giving me many bottles of your award-winning home-made wines.Thanks for the "whip-cream girls in the face polka party"...(Sandy and Margie), thanks for the "Cuban" cigars we smoked on your front porch. Thanks for not dying when you got hit and severely injured on your BMW motorcycle. O yeah, I remember you wearing those big, bear feet shoes to the polka dance; and the time you invited me to visit you in Sylmar from San Pedro and forgot I was coming. I miss the harmonica duets we played together. There's more to write but the tears are falling. You're one of a kind, Morrey. There'll never be another. I'm sure your up there walking your big black poodle,Nappy ...hope there are lots of trees and fire-hydrants at his disposal.

I have so many great memories of Morey both in good times and bad times.  Even in the not so great times his spirit was something to behold and to cherish.  I think that spirit was nourished by you Susie and I know he's playing that harmonica in a special place set aside for him.

Susie, My Dear Old Dad is undoubtedly "THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE MAN" that I have ever met.
Ann and I are better people for having known him.
