Even though it has been 26 months, but it feels like you were just passed. The whole day on Friday, I felt off, deep inside of me I felt sad, miserable, down, melancholic…

Event though Sunday was my birthday, I found myself missing you terribly. 🥺
However, I felt so loved by our M&M. They have indeed are all grown up. They took me to a very famous and fancy restaurant for dinner and bought me very thoughtful gifts. I’m so touched by their love for me. 💜💜

Today marks the 25 months of your passing. Wow! You have been with the Lord for 25 months. 🥹 - bitter sweet. I’m so glad you are with the Lord now. But part of me still wishing that you could be here with me!🥺🥺

When things happened to the car, I learned to take care of it without feeling too much stress. I just googled and learned how to fix it. 

At times we have been making new family memories - doing things that we have never done before. In October, we actually went and waited in lines for the Grand Opening of the Uniqlo in UTC. It was fun and crazy 🤪. We got there 2 hours before they actually opened. We got many of the grand opening special things like little gift bags, water bottles and we even got our name written in Japanese style calligraphy. 

Our M&M have been taking good care of me. They are very mindful and caring.💜🥹

I just wanted to praise God once again.  I went to Trader Joe’s planning to buy you some yellow roses knowing tulips is not in season. As I walked in, I saw a beautiful yellow tulip bouquet. My heart just warmed up and a big smile displayed on my face. I know this is a blessing from God.

Today marks your 2 year passing anniversary. I took a day off from teaching today. I just wanted to spend time to remember you. I looked at all of our pictures and watched the video on your obituary page. Tears started rolling down my face. I miss you. 🥺😢 I miss all the moments we’ve been together. I’m glad I took a day off from work, so I can spend some ”us” time. There are so many things I miss you about. The list can go on and on. 
Last week I went to one of Michelle’s church prayer meetings where we spent time quietly with God to let Him speak to us. God reminded me that on this day, I should praise Him and not just feeling sad… but to Praise Him for what He has done. 
So here is the list of praises:
1. You are no longer in pain. 
2. You no longer have to sit through hours of chemo. 
3. You no longer have to deal with the side effects of chemo. 
4. You no long have the dreadful disease of cancer. 
5. You are in a better place. 
6. You are with the Lord which matters the MOST. 
7. You are in Jesus’ arms being comforted and cared for. 
8. I experience God so many times. 
9. He carried me through so many downs while you are not here. 
10. He constantly gives me strength to carry on.

A few days ago, as I was driving, I was listening to Blessings by Laura Story. It was one of your favorite songs! The lyric is always so touching. The more I listen to it, the more I’m glad that I’m the one who’s left behind and I’m the one who goes thru the grieving. I love you too much to let this happen to you. It would be so difficult if you have to go thru what I’m going thru now. I wouldn’t want you to do that. I love you way too much to let you bear this hardship. God is good. He knows us well. 
In the past, we always joked around and said let’s see who gets to get on the express train first to be with God. Honey, I don’t want you to be alone in this world. I’m seriously glad that I am the one. My love for you is soooo great.

I did so many things inside and outside of our house to keep everything clean just the ways you always wanted it. As I was doing them, I couldn’t help myself feeling sad 😔 because I miss you soooo much. When you went to be with the Lord, there’s a gigantic humongous hole within me. I know the hole is slowly being filled with Jesus. But it takes time. To me the hole would never be completely filled until the day I go to be with the Lord. 
I think I’m way overdue for my crying 😢 for missing you . I’m glad I got to do it now. 
This weekend I went to Pat Hall’s mom Celebration of Life. I started crying because I thought of you and missing you. There was an empty seat next to me as though it was reserved for you. I don’t like going to the celebration of life, it really makes me sooo sad 🥺😢 - all because you are not here!

Hi Dad, I passed all my teacher exams and assessments all on the first try over the past two years as of yesterday. This weekend we celebrated Mother’s Day instead of last week. It was rather special. Kelly came and celebrated with us. It all worked out cause Michelle sang in the Park Hill Church Choir. Kelly came and saw Michelle’s singing. The kids bought me 2 new Yeti thermo cups. Guess what color they are. - Purple and White - your favorite colors. It just made my day - it was so sweet and thoughtful. One for my coffee ☕️and the other for my tea. 🫖

Happy anniversary! It would’ve been our 33rd anniversary. I had a great day on May 4th with Michelle and Mitchell. We had a wonderful time at D-land. I know if you were still here, that’s exactly where we would have gone to celebrate too. I missed you so very much. 
Today was another tough rough day for both Michelle and me. We just fixed our single garage door last week. Michelle’s car got stuck inside the garage. Miraculously, I was able to find a repairman to fix it in the same day after school. Then today …
Michelle’s car wouldn’t start. That was stressful!! So after school, I took it to a mechanic and figured out it was the car battery. 
I wish I really wish you could be still here. I want to take care of any problems and issues around the house with you. I know I am capable and independent that I can take care all these things. But… I don’t want to be capable and independent. I want to do it with you. I miss you soooo much, Honey.

Today is May 1, it has been 19 months since you went to be with the Lord. So many things have happened, so many stress moments about the house. So many situations I wish you can be here with me to take care of these things together. But I know I will be fine cause God is here to take care of me and everything. I just  went to the Good Friday service. I have been feeling very anxious about it for the past  few weeks. Many days I had flashbacks how I was last year during the Good Friday Service. Last year I was sobbing so much cause it was the very first Good Friday without you. This year I cried. I thank God that Winnie SooHoo was sitting next to me. I got to tell her how I feel. I cried and she put her arm around me and just let me cried.  I made it through. 💜💜

It’s kinda cool when  our new School Area Superintendent knows me, just like the SDUSD School Superintendent knows me. When she saw me today, she actually hugged me. She said, “I remember you!” Wow! That’s was quite a surprise! We talked for a short time. She started saying how she used to be one of the Mira Mesa School principals and she was with J. Wrobleski, our retired principal whom I loved! God is good. It’s nice that I was recognized by the district level personnel. 🤗 I think it will be fun going to the District’s Teacher of the Year Celebration in May.  Wish you could be here!🥺

Good Friday Service is just right around the corner. I remember last year, I sobbed so much during the Good Friday Service😢.
 Just thinking about it, makes me cry 😢. I know I will cry again. If I cry, I cry. That’s okay.

This year I was selected to be the teacher of the year for our school. I am very happy 🤗and excited about this honor that my colleagues picked me to be the Teacher of the Year. However, I am very sad too because you’re not here to share this happy moment with me. 🥺😢
On January 19, our principal announced it to the entire school, the school gave me a bouquet of roses. To my surprise, 2 of my students’ parents also bought me 2 more bouquets of flowers. 💐 
On January 20, Michelle, Mitchell and I planned to go to Disneyland. So on that day, we decided we’d celebrate that I’m the teacher of the year. I even got a button from D-land for it! We had a great time. 
Do you want to know something funny, Honey? On that day, I wore your down jacket, Michelle wore your rain jacket and Mitchell wore your Mickey Mouse jacket. Somehow unplanned, we all wore something that once belonged to you. I felt like you were there with us. It felt very special on that day. We all have part of you with us. Isn’t that cool, Honey!!
On May 7, the school district will honor all the teachers of the year from all schools. It will be quite an experience.

Happy New Year! Today marks the day that you are with the Lord for 15 months.  I miss you a whole lot! I’m thinking of you all the time. 
I went to Park Hill Church with Michelle and Mitchell for the past 2 weeks. I’m really happy that I got to worship the Lord in the same church with them as a family. 
It was kind of cool that on Dec. 24’s Sunday worship, Phil Wickham was the one who led the praise worship. I got to see him up close!
On the Dec. 31’s worship, it was different and meaningful. I got to meditate my gratitude to the Lord and examine the goodness of God. I cried because when I thought back how God was here for me and walked with me the past year while you were gone. I’m so grateful how much God loves me. 
During the worship, I also got to spend time thinking about my griefs in the past year which means I got to think about you. I was sad that you are no longer able to be with me! 😞 I love you, Honey! I love you so much!💕💜💕💜
For the last part of the worship, I got a chance to think about asking God for wisdom to do things in the coming year, 2024. I prayed and God reminded me about my personal mission statement-“May every person I encounter see Christ in me.” Then I asked God to give me wisdom that  everyday in the coming year - 2024 - when people see my actions, they can see that I’m a Christian and really see Christ in me.

Went to a vacation with M&M. Really missed you a whole lots. Wish you could be there. You would enjoy the food, the pool and the beach. Yesterday was Dec. 1, 2023. It’s hard to believe that you have been with the Lord for 14 months. I still miss you a lot. Whenever I think of you, my eyes would fill up with tears! That’s how much I missed you! 🥺🥺
Today the CCHC’s “the Heralders” were at CBCSD. Rev. Lee and the team were leading a concert/evangelical meeting. When I first sat in the worship hall, I thought I would be okay. But then the longer I sat there, I started thinking of you- if you were still here, you would be sitting next to me and we would greet the lead singer together. Then they sang some older songs, I just lost it and I started crying feeling super sad. 😢😢😞😞
But overall, I had a great time catching up with everyone. Pollyanna C-Mo and I had a very good time talking and caring for one another. 💕

On Thursday, Nov.16, Michelle and I along with Mark  and Mary, we went  to Skyline Church and attended Chris Tomlin’s concert. I had a blast at the concert. I just wanted to say that I miss you a whole lot and miss just hanging out with you fixing the house and doing mundane tasks just talking about life. I miss your jokes and laughing with you and just being able to be a goofball. I wish so much to talk to you and just update you on how far I’ve come since I started school. I love you a ton and think about you a lot and am always reminded of how you pushed me to keep on the journey of becoming a PT but also just a great man. Thank you for being such a great role model to me. Also NBA season starts this week and I’m always reminded how we used to yell at the TV (ok just me 🤣) when we watched the games together.

I was so happy that you were in my dream yesterday. You were in my classroom taking care of my class while I went out to do something. When I returned, you told me where my class was and then you disappeared. I’m so glad  I got to see you in my dream again. Is not how many times I get to see you in my dream matters, but how you made me feel after I dreamt of you. That’s what it counts the most. Thank you for being in my dream. Hi Honey,

The Agape Ministry is on its way to relaunch as a church wide ministry. I have to make the announcement for the Mandarin and Cantonese congregations this morning. 
But as soon as I walked in the Main Sanctuary and sat down. I literally started crying.  I haven’t cried so much on a Sunday morning like this for quite some times.  I kept thinking I was on that very same stage sharing about you in your Celebration of Life. I lost it and I just sobbed! 😢
Boy, I cried!😢😭 I cried like for at least 10+ mins. I kept taking deep breaths and prayed and reminded myself that I needed to stop cause I had to go on the stage and make the Agape announcement. 
God is good.  He gave me enough time to cry and recompose myself. 
I did it, I was able to walk up the stage in the Main Sanctuary without crying and made the announcement. I know you’d be proud of me!!

We had a family day today - Michelle, Mitchell, Kelly and I. We started off the day having lunch at Urban Plate. We sat at the exact same table as once we were there with Michelle and Mitchell. Sitting at the same table, still table for four, but how I wished it would be a table for five instead. I missed you!😞😞
After lunch we went for a hike at Torrey Pine Beach, the same hike we once did with Michelle and Mitchell. This time still 4 people hiked together, but how I wished it would be a hike for five people. I missed you so much. 😞😞
For dinner we went to SHABUMi- the place that once we went with Michelle and Mitchell. Tonight still 4 people, but again how I wished it would be for 5 people instead. I missed you dearly.  🥺🥺
But… I feel so blessed that Michelle, Mitchell and Kelly still spend time with me for a family day. Remember how  you and I have  always treasured and valued family time together. We did raised our kids well. I had a great time with them!💜 Just wish you could be here!

Today is Day 270 since you went to be with the Lord. Even though it has been that many days, I still miss you the same as though you just passed away. I feel like a big part of me is missing because you are the missing piece of puzzle that makes me whole. 
I still can vividly remember the first time I dreamed of you. It was just a few days after you passed. In the dream,  I gathered many pieces of white panels and you were standing there,  I asked you what am I supposed to do with all these. It’s been a VERY long 16 weeks but I made it (and passed) through the 2nd trimester. It took quite a bit mentally and physically to survive but I made it. There were definitely some parts of the trimester when it was a lot harder but I ended strong! I had my white coat ceremony which seemed like a decade ago. I still remember how much you wanted to come to my white coat! After that it was just midterm after midterm all the way up until my finals! I wish I could show you EVERYTHING I’ve learned so far and the little gadgets and tools I got cuz I know you’d play with them and make me test everything on you 😂

I started laughing to myself thinking about how you hated that feeling and would IMMEDIATELY go brush your teeth 🤣 if not you would be feeling your teeth all day long.

I don’t know today going church and walking into the worship hall seemed extra difficult. I even cried as I was driving. 😢 By now God must have collected buckets of my tears. 😭
As I drove by the McDonald near church today, my mind was just flooded with all those memories when we sometimes eat breakfast or lunch there. That makes me sad 😔. So sad 😞 
Then today’s sermon touches on Jesus washing his disciples’ feet. It brought back memories from the time when you were role playing Jesus where you washed the feet of the church brothers.  Every little things remind me of you!!💜💜💜

Today is Day 119 since you went to be with the Lord. Mitchell had his white coat ceremony last Friday, Jan. 20th. I know you would be so proud of him. I cried during the ceremony just knowing you were not there. I miss you so much!!😞😢

I went and had a haircut today. My first hair cut since you passed. Remember usually after my haircut, I always ask you, “Well, do you like it? What do you think?” I would walk in front of you and make sure you see it. But this time is different … 😞😞😞

Remember we always go and count our lemons on our lemon tree. We counted more than 15. Saturday I went and picked 5 of them. I miss the time when we count our lemons together.  Little things like that make me sad. 😞 I miss baking for you. You were always my taster eating the very first bite and making sure my baked goods are tasty.

I cried more this weekend. When I went to Target and all I saw were the decoration of valentine’s  day and the displays of valentine cards. I know not having you around for this holiday is going be a tough one to deal with. I miss you so badly. I love you!
It’s Sunday again. I cried at church again. 😢 It’s hard already as I drive to church. And during the worship, when I heard the word “hospice ”, I lost it. I cried. Hearing some words just triggers my sadness and how much I missed you. 😞😢

Today is New Year’s Day and it is January 1, 2023. Today also is the day which you have passed away for 3 whole months. 😞
We did the count down without you. It’s not the same. It’s so hard to believe that you are gone for 3 months. 
We went with Daniel’s family to Vancouver for Christmas! Nothing is the same without you. It’s hard to go back to the places where we once went as a whole family or eating your favorite food without you. I couldn’t eat much. I really miss you and feeling sad!!
