Virgil L. Tanner passed away gracefully with dignity and respect March 18, 2012 at 2:43 p.m. and was taken by Jehovah God to the Heavenly Kingdom at the age of 86 years and 11 ½ months. He was born March 30, 1925, in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
In 1942 he joined the United States Navy. Having served faithfully and honorably he retired as a Senior Chief Machinist Mate from the United States Navy on the 1st day of December 1972.
He enjoyed playing golf and watching it on TV. He tuned in on television or listened on the radio the stock market and listen to country music. He spent his years in comfort and peace and lived life to the fullest.
He survived by his wife Elena Tanner.
Vigil, you are deeply loved and missed by your family and friends. You will be remembered for your genuine love, kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity and faith to God.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary
