He was born to parents Francesco Avila and Barbara LaSala on September 21, 1929 in Flint Michigan. Vincent grew up in San Diego, graduating from Kearny High School in 1948. He worked in Aerospace Production for over 35 years retiring from BF Goodrich in 2001.
Vincent married Mary Jane Lolli in 1959. His beloved wife passed away in 2011 with Vincent by her side. Vincent devoted his time caring for his granddaughter, Summer, who passed away in 2004. He is survived by his daughters Gina Hill and Tina Avila, granddaughters Erica Blazer and Tanya Booth, and great granddaughters Markie Blazer, Vinnie Blazer, Gianna Booth and Gemma Booth.
He will be remembered for his love of sports and musical talent. In high school Vincent played basketball, baseball, football, and enjoyed wrestling. He joined the Buddy Carlson band singing and playing the bass at the Paris Inn. Vincent was known as the family entertainer who would sing his favorite Frank Sinatra songs at all the family gatherings. Through his good-natured spirit and joke telling he could bring a smile to everyone's face. Vincent will be cherished as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
