Usher was born in Georgia in 1930 and was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After serving his country in the Army, he married his wife Jean and moved to California in the late 1960's, they were married for 55 years. He was a hardworking man and he retired from two different jobs. Although not related to his field, he was also a skilled carpenter and artist. He enjoyed building things with his hands, always preferring to do any work around the house himself.
He enjoyed travelling, fishing, cards with friends, cooking, and he was a huge San Diego Padres fan. One of the biggest loves of his life was his grandchildren. He loved visiting with them and cooking for them.
He had a big smile and hearty laugh. He will not only be missed by his family, but also by the many friends, neighbors, old co-workers, who would often come to visit him and check in.
He lived a life full of love. He was quiet, gentle, and kind. He was a good man, and he will be missed, but never forgotten.
