Svea Marie Hewett

HEWETT, SVEA MARIE (nee YLITALO) Dr. S. Marie Hewett was born December 9, 1940 in Negaunee, Michigan. She passed away at her home in San Diego, CA on April 26, 2012. She was a longtime resident of San Diego, CA. Marie attended Michigan State University where she earned a Masters Degree in psychology. In the early 1970's Marie moved to southern California where she attended classes which earned her a Doctorate in psychology. Dr. Hewett maintained a private practice in San Diego in the 1980's. She joined the staff of the Santee School System as a school psychologist retiring in 2010. Survivors include: nephews Leo (Terilynne) Krajewski of Cookeville, TN, Kevin Krajewski of Detroit, and Gary Krajewski of Detroit, MI, and a niece Geraldine Parkes of Centerline, MI. Also, many great-nieces, and great-nephews. She had many dear and loving friends in who will deeply miss her. Marie was predeceased by her father Carl Ylitalo, mother Tyne Ylitalo, sister Eleanor Krajew-ski, nephews Daniel Krajewski, and Chris Krajewski. Longtime friend and companion Paula Malinick. Memorial Service will be at a later date.
