November 5, 1962 ~ August 7, 2023 (age 60)
Scott Allen Drennan was born in Bakersfield, CA on November 5, 1962, and passed away in New Braunfels, TX on August 7, 2023 in the loving company of family and friends. His parents were the late George Allen Drennan and Carol Ann Winn.
Scott was raised in Palo Alto, playing football, attending Cubberley High School, and graduating from Palo Alto High School in 1981. He went on to attend the University of California, Irvine where he matriculated through postgraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering. Scott began his professional journey at Coen Company in Burlingame, CA, continued his career at EPRI, Reaction Design, and finally with Convergent Science Inc.
Scott was a devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend!
He was the life of the party, wicked smart, could make you laugh until you cried, fiercely loyal, a lover of music and good food, but most of all his greatest joy was his wife, children, family and friends! There was nothing he wouldn't for any of us.
Last June, Scott was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and chose to fight his battle privately. He fought hard, bravely, and with amazing grace and humor! Unfortunately, cancer outpaced Scott’s energy and joy for life… he is now at peace.
Scott is survived by his wife Julie Taylor-Drennan, daughter Michelle Kiana Drennan and sons Sean Mahoney Drennan and Christopher Thomas Drennan, brother Mark Drennan, and Mother-in-Law Carol Taylor. As well as his first wife Rynda and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Scott was predeceased by his Mother Carol Winn Mahoney, Stepfather Michael Mahoney, and Father George Drennan.
His final rest will be at El Camino Memorial Park in San Diego, California.
