Sarah T. Holt

Sarah T. Holt, age 96, of San Diego, California passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Sarah was born December 11, 1924 and raised on a farm in North Augusta, South Carolina until marriage brought her to the Bay area of California. Sarah worked as a bookkeeper for new car dealerships while raising her family until 1966 when she remarried to Navy Lt. Com. Donald P. Holt brought her to San Diego where she has been a happy resident of Pacific Beach for 55 years.

As a dedicated Presbyterian, Sarah devoted herself to being of service to the church. In Northern California she was a Christian Education leader and here as member of PB Presbyterian Church. She initially was a deacon and then devoted herself to the Women's Friendship Club serving as secretary for many years.

Sarah is scheduled to be interred with her husband at Ft. Rosecrans. She is survived by her daughter, Merilynn Murch, her younger sister Eva Thompson of N. Augusta, South Carolina, and three grand children: Cherilynn Porter of Porterville, CA; Rebecca Selman of Camas, WA and Justin Doull of Walnut Creek, CA.
