January 3rd 1968, Sanja was born in the small town of Otocac-Lika, Croatia, the hometown of her grandparents, to Zarko and Radojka Jarebica while still students studying in Belgrade. The next year When her parents finished school, the family moved to Novi Vinodolski , Croatia. From there until 1972, when the family moved to Bosanska Dubica, Bosnia, where Sanja started school.
Again, in 1976, the family moved to Belgrade settling in Sremcica where her family built their home. Sanja continued her education, when, in 1992, she received a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Belgrade, finishing with a 9.4 out of 10 GPA. After completing four years of residency in OB/GYN, Sanja served as a staff physician OB/GYN Clinic in Belgrade.
In 1996 with the amazing support from the Popovic family, Sanja immigrated to the US. Sanja prepared and completed the USMLE Board exams by 2004 to become a Family Physician. In 2006 Sanja completed her residency at UC Davis Sacramento in Family Medicine. As a Doctor in Family Medicine, Sanja joined Scripps Coastal in Hillcrest moving to UTC.
In 2007 Sanja meet Michael her future husband and began their life together moving to Point Loma. They exchanged vows in 2009, and that same year were blessed with the birth of their son Alex. Sanja continued with her practice assisting her patients and raising her family.
