Her father, Roscoe Wright, also as Death Valley Curley, raised her to love Death Valley, Nevada as much as he did; showing her how to survive in the gravest conditions. She met her soul mate, Virgil Colvin on the desert and it was love at first sight. They were married and later moved to California.
Ruth and Virgil were inseparable for over 50 years before his passing in 1996.
Ruth was a survivor and raised three children, Coleen Savary, Virgil Colvin and Virginia Poole.
She was extremely dedicated to her church, Grace Lutheran during her lifetime, until such time as she could no longer be active and then in her final years, she enjoyed the comfort and relaxation of living at Atria Collwood, and Assisted Facility that she thoroughly enjoyed. She played cards every day, played Bingo and went on out-an-about excursions by bus with the rest of her friends from Atria and enjoyed her cat, Gray.
Now Ruth and Virgil are once more together for Eternity and their love will endure forever.
