What a wonderful and exciting life he led! He traveled the world during a long career with The May Company, The Bon Marche and Duty Free. He taught himself to be an avid boater and Harley rider; further expanding his opportunity for adventure. He met many people along the way, many becoming life-long friends.
Born in Missouri in 1938 to Jerry and Helen Taylor, he built a life full of love, dogs, and more stories than one can count. His knowledge was vast on any topic.
Ever the sentimentalist, he would seek out fine treasures in his travels as momentos and turn them into exquisite fine collections, all with stories attached. While he appreciated the finer things in life, these never superseded family and friends who he cared deeply for and always made time for.
Fiercely independent, it deeply troubled him to lean on others during his illness. But those he leaned on were only too happy to do so in exchange for the light he had shown on them and the stories he shared.
He is survived by his daughter Jean(husband John Kiley), son Ward(wife Jill Taylor) and grandkids Emily and Jack Kiley in addition to his sister Sally Black. We will never forget his crinkled blue-eyed smiles, his rye humor, his well-timed advice and stories and knowledge on any subject. He is at peace now with his wife Stevie, many dogs, and his loving parents.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.sorrentovalleychapel.com for the Taylor family.
