Robert R. “Pee Wee” Nunez August 31, 1935 - March 20, 2016 Robert Nunez, 80, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born on August 31, 1935 in El Centro, California. Robert married Barbara A. Cox (LaChica) on December 20, 1958 in Yuma, Arizona. He worked for over 60 years for Street and Sons and West Auto Wreckers. After retirement, Robert continued to work at Qualcomm Stadium. Robert was a loving husband and papa to all of his children. He enjoyed yard work, joking with his family and friends, helping others with whatever needed to be done and his passion was sports, especially baseball. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara, Brother Joe Nunez, Sisters, Magdelena Goings & Catalina Van Wey. Six children, John LaChica, Theresa LaChica, Maria Kehoe, Antoinette Hipwell, Kathleen Street & Robert J. Nunez, 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Robert will be tremendously missed always and forever loved by his family and friends.
