I worked on and off with Bob since the 1990s.  I did not work where he did but had my own companies which worked with him.  I had been trying to figure out if he moved to San Diego upon retiring as his last year of work he said that was his goal. I hope he was sailing a lot.   I lived in Newport Beach.  It was always a pleasure to see Bob, have a beer, discuss difficult work topics and solve them.  I am sad I was unable to see him after retirement.  I will  miss him.
