Richard was a retired software engineer. He was a loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother and friend. He was quiet and reserved, and never hesitated to help others. Richard was a devout Christian and was active in his church community. He served as a church deacon and gave back to the church. He went on many mission trips with his church to spread the Gospel.
He enjoyed spending time with his wife, from their daily walks to running errands. He spent his life putting others before him, and took care of his wife, daughter, parents, parents-in-law, family and friends. Richard was a family man, through and through--he loved his family dearly, he provided for his family, he took care of his family. He was very thoughtful and always aimed to make the lives of the people around him easier. During his retirement, he worked on on home improvement projects, discovered and tried new recipes, and wrote a sudoku solver program (after he realized his daughter was better at sudoku than him!).
We hope he is in heaven with his dogs, Rocky and Toastie. He will live forever in our memory, especially in his wife's.
