Raymond Edward Caswell, age 90, of San Diego, California passed away at home on Friday, July 3, 2020. Raymond was born October 17, 1929 in Dallas, IA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Gaileen Caswell, as well as his brothers and a sister and recently, one nephew. He is survived by his only daughter, Lisa Rae Caswell, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was a Civil Engineer and Construction Cost Estimator for many years. Most of his work was for the the Navy Civil Service and the California Department of Water Resources. He was a member of the Canyon View Church of Christ and spent much of his life studying the Bible.
Graveside services were held at El Camino Memorial Park, Arlington Point, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020. Barry Day officiated. A Celebration of Life is scheduled at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2020, in the courtyard at Canyon View Church of Christ, 4292 Balboa Ave., San Diego. Although COVID Precautions may limit our activities, warm hearts and fond memories will be in abundance as we celebrate the life of our brother, father, and friend, Ray Caswell.
