I loved Phil.  He lit up Congregation Beth EL.  HE was a inimitable character and I miss him vividly.

Phil was my favorite  resident at Westwood. He would frequently visit the office and chat with me. His stories about the military and secret service were entertaining. The way he spoke about his beloved wife was heartwarming. He was such a bright light. I'll miss you Phil. You made my time working at Westwood worth while. I'm sorry I didn't visit you or give you a proper goodbye when I left. Rest in peace.  I'll keep the secret service pins you gave me forever ❤️

My roommate at SIU and best man at our wedding in downtown Chicago on July 31, 1965. Phil, we miss you today as we celebrate our 57th wedding anniversay.
We remember you and Joyce very well.

Just found out about Phil's passing. Truly one of the nicest funniest person ever. His stories about his time in the Secret Service were priceless.
