Philip Cantor Cailing, 70, passed away on the 17th of November 2016 at the University of California San Diego Thorton Medical Center. He was the husband of Susan Cantal Cailing. They shared 32 years of marriage together. Born in Burgos Pangasinan Philippines, he was the son of Canuto and Pia Cailing. He was a Chief Petty Officer for the United States NAVY and then pursued a career in the financial world as a National Sales Director for Primerica Financial Services. Philip was an active member of San Rafael Parish Church where he served as the Captain Usher. He was also a Knights of Columbus member serving the community with several volunteer activities. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a great friend. He will always be the kind of man his sons and grandsons aspires to be and will forever remain in his wife’s heart. He is survived by his wife Susan, his two sons Arjay and Ryan, daughter-in-law Jucel and Katrina, and five wonderful grandchildren: Christian Alexander, Caleb Anthony, Donovan Ryan, Vivienne Kate, and Jaecel Raine. A Vigil will be held on the 22nd of November 2016 from 4pm to 8pm at the El Camino Memorial–Sorrento Valley located at 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd., San Diego, CA 92121. A mass will be held in his name at the San Rafael Parish Church on the 30th of November 2016 from 11-12pm located at 17252 Bernardo Center Dr, San Diego, CA 92128. The funeral service procession will commence following the mass towards the burial service scheduled at 2pm at the Miramar National Cemetery located at 5795 Nobel Dr. San Diego, CA 92122.
