Paul Ray Mefford

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Ray Mefford of San Diego, CA. Paul was born the fifth of seven siblings on December 23, 1944 to George and Jimmy Virginia Mefford of Red Bluff, California. Paul was married for 55 years to Carolyn Petrie Mefford. He was an enlisted member of the US Navy where he worked as an Airedale, an electronics technician for naval flight operations. He went on to a career as an electronics engineer including owning and operating Circuit Design Technology and National Design Institute. Paul entered into rest on July 27, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, children, Monica Mosack of Strongsville, Ohio, Paul Mefford II of Houston, Texas, and Tammie Rae Mefford, grandchildren, Hailey, Katherine, Paul III, Julia, Katelynn, Robert, Katrina, Jeff and Sherrece, and his siblings, Mary Jo Coakley, Olson Mefford and Carrie Sue Baumann. Paul will stay in our hearts forever. The visitation held for Paul will be on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at El Cajon Mortuary, 684 South Mollison Avenue, El Cajon, CA 92020. The committal service will be held the same day at 2:15 pm at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, CA 92122.
