Pamela was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, graduated from UNC-Charlotte, and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1990 to begin her career as a Delta Airlines flight attendant. In 1992, Pamela married to husband, James Matthew Howell, together with whom she bore four children: James Michael, Ryan Nicholas, Alexander Scott, and Ashlyn Brooke. In 2006, the family moved to San Diego, California, at which time Pamela left Delta Airlines to raise the four children, full-time. Pamela had a passion for supporting the local school systems and community service. She loved traveling with the family, particularly to the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Kaanapali, Maui. Pamela also enjoyed the companionship of the families' three dogs: Bandit, Sadie, and Rebel.
Pamela was pre-deceased by grandparents, Fred and Eula Bodford, and Clayton and Agnes Fishel, as well as father, Ronald Bodford. In addition to her husband and children, she leaves behind mother, Carolyn Fishel, mother-in-law, Anne Howell, brother-and-sister-in-law, Neil and Jill Russell, and daughter-in-law, Holley Howell.
A visitation for Pamela will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Chapel, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121 for anyone who would like to pay their respects.
Immediately following, a funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM for relatives only.
