Michael Eugene Thornton 6/8/60-7/16/17 Mike was born June 8, 1960 and raised in Pacific Beach, San Diego. Mike passed away on July 16, 2017 after a year-long battle with small cell lung cancer surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Thornton and their four sons and four grandchildren. Mike also has three surviving siblings Michael, Pam, and Lisa. Throughout his life, he was an avid surfer and motorcycle rider. He passed on his legacy to his boys with his love for working on cars, off-roading, camping and family. Mike enjoyed the simple things in life like barbecuing and watching football on Sundays. There are no words to express the impact Mike had on his family and friends.
